- July 18, 2019: István Faragó won a financial support of 300.000 HUF from the Hungarian Academy of Sciencies to organize the conference entitled ,,6th Workshop on Stability and Discretization Issues in Differential Equations" to be held in June 2020.

- September 2018.: Bálint Máté Takács PhD student successfully applied for ÚNKP-18-3 New National Excellence Program of the Ministry of Human Capacities with his proposal entitled Mathematical investigations of epidemic models. His supervisors are István Faragó and Róbert Horváth.
- September 2018.: Petra Csomós successfully applied for ÚNKP-18-3 New National Excellence Program of the Ministry of Human Capacities with her proposal entitled Error analysis of innovative time integrators.
- June 22, 2018: István Faragó, the leader of the research group, was awarded the honorary membership of the European Consortium for Mathematics in Industry (ECMI) for initiating the partnership with ECMI within Hungary, and for promoting the ECMI membership of the Eötvös Loránd University.

- June 18-22, 2018: several members of our research group took part at the organization of The 20th European Conference on Mathematics for Industry held in Budapest: István Faragó as member of the Scientific Committe, Péter L. Simon as the chair of the Organizing Committe, and Ferenc Izsák as the secretary of the Organizing Committe. There were members of our research group among the speakers and the organizers. Petra Csomós, Róbert Horváth, Ferenc Izsák, and Noémi Nagy organized minisymposia, while Ágnes Bodó and Imre Fekete were responsible for the organizatory issues. The research group has won 1.42 million HUF from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences for the organization of the conference.
